Penn Yan Academy
Class of 1908
|
My mother, Mary Florence Rector
Bullock, was a member of the Penn Yan Academy Class of
1908. She also attended the 50th class reunion in 1958.
The commencement program and the Rochester Times-Union
newspaper article, with pictures, were were both among
her memorabilia. As we now enter into a new century it is
interesting to note that in the Class Poem the class is
referred to as "Naught Eight." |

Class Poem
(last
two stanzas)
I stood on thje bridge at day
break,
The mists had rolled away,
The sun rose over the water,
And there dawned another day.
I thought as I watched the
sunbeams,
Each with its golden ray,
That none was as bright as this class,
Naught eight of P. Y. A.
